Leander Shines in Headlines Again

The City of Leander has once again been praised in headlines as Culture Map examines the Homes.com  rankings of the top suburbs to move to in 2021. Culture Map, a source for local lifestyle news for the state of Texas, noted that anyone considering a move to the Austin metro area should seriously consider Leander.

“With a median list price of $271,500, it’s far more affordable than the city of Austin, which just last month hit an all-time high median sale price of $515,000 and its work-from-home score of 1.4 — one of the highest in the study — means it’s one of the best for remote workers,” said Arden Ward, writer for Culture Map.

But what do Leander locals have to say about their highly acclaimed city?

“In Leander, we have access to the beautiful Texas Hill Country and downtown Austin without having to sacrifice our life savings. My family and I are able to live like we’ve always wanted!” said Mike Neu, public information officer for the city of Leander.

“Leander provides a hometown feel while giving residents many amenities including beautiful parks, fun community-wide activities and events, delicious restaurants, and more. The best part? A community filled with people who lift each other higher,” said Kristen Huguley, chair for the Leander Chamber of Commerce and Visitors center and executive director for the Leander Educational Excellence Foundation, a nonprofit supporting the highly acclaimed Leander Independent School District.

With so many impressive articles coming out about Leander, it’s no wonder the locals love it so much.
