Leander Projects Shape Austin Metro

Two Leander Developments are Listed Among the Top Projects That Will Reshape the Future of the Austin Metro Area.

Leander has made a big impression in the nation and continues to top headlines, most notably lately for being the  best suburb to work-from-home , the 5TH best suburb in the nation  according to Homes.com , #39 in the nation for the best small city for small businesses, and now two more Leander projects are in the spotlight.

Commercial Property Executive, the leading integrated resource for executives and companies that own, invest in, develop, lease and/or manage commercial real estate in the United States and foreign investment, published this article, Top Projects That Will Reshape Austin , which features two groundbreaking Leander projects, Northline and Leander Springs.

Northline

Northline, the 115-acre mixed-use development, will offer outdoor concerts, farmers markets, festivals and a centerpiece named Town Square, in addition to its planned 700,000 square feet of office, 300,000 square feet of retail and 150,000 square feet of hotel space.

Leander Springs

Leander Springs, the $1 billion, 78-acre mixed-use development located at the corner of FM 2243 and Toll 183A, is planned to feature to include retail, office, residential, entertainment and hospitality components, with a 4-acre crystalline lagoon that will feature a patented technology created by Crystal Lagoons, enabling it to operate by using only 2 percent of the energy needed by conventional swimming pool filtration systems, Cameron Goodman, economic development managing partner for the City of Leander explained to CP Executives.

These forward-thinking projects are perfectly matched to the cities unprecedented growth.

“According to Goodman, in anticipation of continued growth, the city of Leander is planning to accommodate more development and has already identified several priorities, such as roadway improvements and the enlargement of water and wastewater infrastructure capacity. ‘The next 10 years will see a large amount of growth in the community, particularly in the transit-oriented development area of the city,’ Goodman told CPExecutives,” said Timea-Erika Papp, senior associate editor with Commercial Property Executive and Multi-Housing News.
