City of Leander

Leander is developing into a “hipsterburbia,” according to real estate experts.

Believe it or not, a fast-growing Williamson County suburb could transform into a hipster haven that shares some of East Austin’s cultural DNA. A local housing expert believes Leander possesses all of the ingredients to evolve into the Austin metro area’s first “hipsturbia,” part of nationwide real estate trend.

Leander Named BOOMTOWN!

2019-10-18T11:25:12-05:00

We just love the release of these new numbers…give us a call if you want to learn more about Leander!  512-259-1907

Life in a boomtown has its perks. Growth brings opportunity.
We’re seeing that more than ever when it comes to housing. The Austin Board of Realtors released its latest housing numbers, and they show the median home price is now $320,000 – a 73% increase in the last 10 years.

We decided to look at the fastest growing ZIP codes in the area, and what we found is that families are increasingly choosing to live outside the Austin city limits.

“The hottest two areas right now are Cedar Park and Leander. The northwest sector of Austin,” said Susan Horton, a longtime Austin Realtor.

Who’s Running in Our Local Election?

2019-04-24T15:34:42-05:00

While the race for the White House and Congress often grips the nation, participation in – and even awareness of – our local elections has significantly declined in recent years.

Ironically, these local elections concern the offices and issues that have clear and immediate implications for voters in their day-to-day lives – arguably more so than federal contests. Such elections are not only for mayors and council positions, but also local judges, sheriffs, clerks, school board members and other officials. Local elections also include community issues that are put directly to voters – through various ballot measures and initiatives.

Bottom line: these are the elections that affect you the most. Your quality of life is on the ballot.  Please vote in our upcoming […]

Leander’s 12 Days of Hope and Giving

2018-09-24T16:51:07-05:00

Twelve Days of HOPE & Giving is a local fundraising campaign in the city of Leander. A community partnership between Brungot Farms and the Leander Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center. As a team, we address the basic human needs in our community. This annual Christmas campaign is designed to give HOPE (Help Other People Everyday) to our community and its needs, as well as bring a reasonable priced resource of Christmas Trees and Christmas Wreaths to Leander. Combined this will make the holidays brighter for your family, along with many local organizations that provide for our families in need of assistance.

During this campaign, a portion of the sales from […]

Insurance: How do I make this happen for my small business?

2018-04-17T16:02:52-05:00

This is a question that plagues many of our local businesses.  In our last Lessons in Business meeting we discussed small business benefits.  There are many options for your business to consider. Businesses can choose traditional insurance, non-traditional insurance plans, health sharing, and many more options.  Our goal at the chamber is to help ensure that you are aware of all of the options available to you and make sure that you understand that there are options for every business at just about every price point.

The session began with Chamber President, Bridget Brandt sharing how the Chamber has moved to Health Sharing for their employees and the process they went through to evaluate this benefit […]
